Greece's climate/temperature is chaparral. Chaparral - is dry, there are shrubs, and its low.
Greece - as population grows; Greek colonies to provide more resources. Greeks had spread out into different city-states.

Rome is getting more consistent rain than Greece. Not a lot of farming in Greece, more fishing.

The Church become so powerful because people are almost endangered/could die, and they pray a lot more often. The bibles were only written in Latin. Only the priests were able to read the bibles, at least some what, and people would go to the church, and not the bible.

Crusades - People going down to Israel and fight for the holy land from the Turks.
2 major cities: Constantinople and Byzantine
Black Death ; Rats got on ships, ships went back to the home land, and people got fleas. Bubonic Plague, it was very deadly. Originated in Mongolia, spread out by trade routes. The cause of fleas - increased trade, poor sanitation in urban areas, poor medical knowledge, poor hygiene. It eventually started spreading through the air.
